Who are we?

Ranikhet Rainbows Pre-School is an Ofsted Registered sessional pre-school.

We are open Monday-Friday during school term times.

We offer the following sessions:

         Mornings:            9.00am – 12.00pm

         Afternoons:        12.30pm – 3.30pm

Children can attend the pre-school from the age of 2 years and stay with us until they start school or nursery school. We have strong links with Ranikhet School Nursery and can act as a “stepping stone” from our setting to the school nursery when they are 3 years old. We will help and support children who are moving on by introducing them to the staff and nursery room and joining in with some of the nursery school’s activities.

We can offer 5 sessions a week FREE of charge for families who are eligible for 2 year funding. Children are eligible for the funding, the term after they turn 2 years.

Our Curriculum

At Ranikhet Rainbows Pre-School, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which is the national curriculum framework for children from birth-5 years.

Parent Partnership

We keep you regularly updated on your child’s development and what your child has been doing at pre-school through our software system, Baby's Day. You will be given log in details so you will be able to access your child’s records and photos at home or work and will be able to add comments and photos of your own.

The Pre-school operates a key worker system. Your child will be allocated a keyworker who will be your first point of contact at pre-school. Your child’s keyworker will meet with you termly to discuss your child’s development and progress. You are also welcome to discuss any concerns or ask any questions at other times.

We are committed to working in very close partnership with parents, extended families, other professionals and other provisions which your child might attend so that we can carefully monitor and support their learning and development.  Working closely with parents helps to encourages each child to progress to their full potential in secure and caring environment.
